Our medical-grade Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) Filters, commonly referred to as artificial noses, are precision-engineered for patients undergoing mechanical ventilation or anesthesia. These passive humidification systems capture the patient’s expired heat and moisture and return it during inhalation, effectively replicating the natural functions of the upper respiratory tract. Equipped with high-efficiency bacterial and viral filtration membranes, they prevent airway drying, reduce secretion encrustation, and provide an exceptionally secure barrier against cross-contamination in intensive care units and operating theatres.
